Hello,
I've been wondering which mice got the most precise sensor ? Deathadder Chroma or Zowie EC-1A ? i can handle both designs and both shapes, both prices as well. if you have tried both tell me what you think about their sensors. Cheers.

Edit:
I mainly play CS:GO and i'm using a Razer Goliathus Control Edition mouse pad.

Hey, I have a DA2013 (same sensor as the Chroma) and the EC1-A (also have a Rival 300 and a Zowie FK1). They both have great sensors and I had no trouble going back and forth between these mice, it wouldn't affect my performance at all. I'd say they are nearly identical. I play at 800dpi, 0.8 sens and they are both great. I prefer the very low lift-off distance of the EC1-A though.

With that said, I'm using neither of these mice (currently on the Rival 300) due to various reasons. If you are set on one of these two I'd go for the DA. Don't worry about sensors, they are excellent.

Build quality is garbage on the Deathadder buttons though, it's almost inevitable that they WILL develop a double clicking problem within a year.

Yep DA13 is available to be bought. DA13 is the same as DA Ergonomic ,right ?
in this case i will go for the DA13

Recently had some build quality problems with the Deathadder Chroma managed to go through 3 in several months, two of them developed a slight hairline crack in the left click button which left it un-usable without it breaking clean off practically then the last straw was I received another replacement that had a problem with the side buttons whilst one was clicky the other sounded like a spring was being flicked and left to vibrate which also happens when swiping around which was the last straw! Considering what is a £70 mouse it just isn't acceptable. (I didn't pay that tho ) But I have gone with the EC1-A due to similar shape/size and overall I am pretty happy with it.. the build quality feels much better although the DA has a better scroll wheel although I believe it has one of the most highly rated sensors in it, I managed to grab the latest revision of it with the re-branding Zowie Benq.

I completely vouch for this, bought my Deathadder 18 months ago and it's now double clicking and it's also lost it's accuracy.

So here I am trawling these forums trying to decide which mouse to replace mine. :(

thanks for the help man much appreciated. but i don't get it you mentioned in your first comment i should go for the DA and you just commented that you had some problems with DA and zowie is better overall. im getting confused xD. and yes another question is DA Ergonomic the 2013's release ? or it's something else

Sorry If I confused you but I don't think I suggested the DA?

I explain how I have gone through 3 - Deathadder's in several months due to poor build quality issue's but I did praise the DA for having a better scroll wheel than the Zowie EC1-A but other than that I feel the Zowie EC1-A is simple, stylishand feels very solid in the build quality department, feels nicer than the DA and performs very well.

Edit: One dislike about the EC1-A is you can't changed the scroll wheel's led color it is preset (400DPI Red) (800DPI Purple) (1600DPI Blue) (3200DPI Green)

Also I meant the Zowie has what is known to be one of the best sensors

EC1-A feels better. Similar shape with the DA, but better, more comfortable. It probably has the best shape out of all the mice I currently have. Too bad I hate it so much that I won't be going back to it ever again.

You hate the EC-1A or the Deathadder?

well thanks for clearing things up. do you have any experience with the logitech g303 apex ?
and what mices do you like :D

Nope, I haven't tested the G303 because I don't like it's shape and size.

It's very hard to recommend a mouse as it comes down to preference and grip style. You will never know if a mouse will be good for you until you use it.

All these high end mice have pretty much the same performance so I wouldn't worry about that.

As I previously said I currently have a DeathAdder 2013, BenQ EC1-A, Zowie FK1 and a Rival 300. I prefer the Rival 300. It is superior in every aspect to the EC1-A/DA except shape. EC1-A has the best shape for me. The FK1 is great in every aspect except shape. I just can't hold it properly (I have 20 cm hands).

Which mouse do you use?

-M1+M2 buttons. They are lighter from the FK1 and have a very cheap feel to them. I press them a lot by accident. M1 is VERY loud. M2 is not very crisp.

-Scroll wheel. It's TERRIBLE. It's hard to tell when it registers a scroll, too much travel time between scrolls. Also it's loud.

-Coating. This is my biggest issue. I have sweaty hands and after only a few minutes of usage it became VERY sticky. I had to wash my hands after using it. I never had this issue with my DA2013/FK1/Rival 300.

Does your EC1-A have the White Zowie logo? Because I believe those have Omron switches which are known to be a light click, the EC1-A I have is the Zowie Benq revision with updated colour scheme and Huano switches.

I'll agree on that one, the scroll wheel isn't great but for me so far does the job.

I don't have particularly sweaty hands so I haven't noticed this, I know choosing a mouse is a very personal thing.
