I had the same problem so I left the old firmware driver. Apart from this I have had other issues with the Deathadder in Vista 64 such as not been able to configure buttons. Also whenever I set the mouse dpi settings to low I can hardly move the cursor and it becomes all glitchy. This and tracking was not an issue with XP 32 - the buttons were also an issue on my old PC with XP.
Not that impressed with razer drivers so I have bought another MX 518 which is 100% reliable.
