Just ordered an ipad mini retina and will be passing on my ipad 1. How do I deauthorise it? I know how to deauthorise a the PC but don't want other i devices deauthorised.

Is it just a case of connecting to the PC with the USB cable and reseting it?

But does iTunes on the PC still have it registered to it?

Once you have wiped the iPad and the new user can set it up as a new device or even connect to there iTunes account and either setup as a new iPad or restore from a back up that they have done.

I think its more the software rather than the device is linked to your account.

Once you get your new iPad you can restore from your previous iPad's back-up.

Don't forget to manage your devices by starting iTunes then clicking:

Store -> View Account -> Manage Devices

10 devices are allowed per account.

^ Didn't know that. Just checked had 6 devices registered going back to 2011 4 of which I don't own anymore.

Also 4/5 computers authorised as I always forget to to de-auth my computers.
