Debating a switch - need advise!

Hi all, currently running a GTX 690, rest of the rig is in my signature. I adore this card, but I saw a card posted by OCUK on Facebook earlier and it has really caught my interest.

It's the only time I've ever considered switching from Nvidia, and knowing I could still get a decent price for the 690 makes me even more tempted. I just don't want to be let down, as I REALLY do love this card.

Someone please talk some sense into me, is it at all worth considering? Or would I be let down?

I game on a 1440p monitor also, will be worth taking into account, thanks guys!

I presume you means 2x290 in crossfire?

If just the one then it would be a step down.
