Currently got a Samsung Sync-master P2270 but have recently bought a desk (it's huge) and feel that I need a bigger monitor to take up some more space. And I also feel like spending some money ;)

Current monitor and specs can be seen here:

http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitor/lcd-monitor/LS22EFHKFV/XM

The monitor that's caught my eye is the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-077-IY&groupid=17&catid=1120 Mainly so because it's on offer at the moment at what seems to be a pretty good price. But, in your guys opinion, do you think it will be worth it? I don't want to spend 200 quid for something that is only going to be ever so slightly better.

If not, could you guys recommend me something for a similar price that would definitely be an upgrade?

Thanks OCUK! :D

EDIT: Please take account rig in sig, thanks!

Hmm, the particular monitor that caught your eye is actually out of stock, atm. Secondly, most people here are more familiar with £300+ monitors. We've calculated that the monitor is one of the longest lasting components in our systems, and it's also the main component you'll be in interaction with (in other words: watching), so it's better to spend a little extra to get something good, if at all possible. For £200 your options are quite limited.

In any case, for a recommendation:
BenQ GW2760 for £180 (though it was even just yesterday on sale for £164).

I would primarily recommend its big brother, BenQ 2760HS for £216, but it's out of stock. The cheaper version has a thicker bezel and doesn't have HDMI.

But do note, I haven't actually tried either myself, they're just something that could have been interesting.

Thanks for the reply. Having had no replies for quite a while and doing quite a bit of browsing it seems a 27" 1080p monitor would almost be a downgrade for me at this point in time.

I'm now instead looking at 1440p 27" Screens instead. Just hope I've got a good enough system for it? Currently my only gaming demands are Battlefield 4 and Dayz.

If anyone could recommend some 1440p monitors that would be great, budget is £500, but I wont be purchasing til early November.

Thanks :D

Cheers for the suggestions Adam, but I REALLY dislike dual screens. Have had the set up in the past and ended up selling my second monitor almost immediatley. Would just like a really good single monitor for gaming.

1440p
27"
Not sure about Hz as I've always had 60, perhaps 120? (Honestly I'm not really all that aware of the difference, does it effect performance?)

More suggestions welcome.
