Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 released

i have downloaded the amd64 cd 1 of lenny, gonna try it and see if i can get a desktop, then flip a coin and decide if i should use arch or debian on my desktop.

ubuntu seems the easiest by far for my macbook

PS: is it just me or do you find yourself, installing, re-installing, finding new distro, installing, thenr e-installing constantley? :P As a consequence I spend more time using windows lolz

Not really, but I only really use Linux for my servers and i've stuck with debian for god knows how long. :)

well, unlike etch, lenny booted to the GUI so I could install it. I must say its very nice. Obviously ubuntu borrowed heavily from it (I had to think abit about that and not say debian is based on ubuntu lol).

Think I may stick with this, dunno if i cba with Arch linux, I have a really fast computer, with 4gb ram. I don't notice any speed difference with Arch compared to buntu, debian, opensuse, etc, etc... so im basically playing about with it for willy waving e-peen value. Having said that it did teach me more about linux & i am now pretty confident in bash etc etc etc....

debian, I likes alots.
