Decent 1150 socket sub £150?

Just ordered an 1150 socket mb cause it was cheap and i have been waiting too long to switch to intel. Just curious as to what the best cpu i can would be, (Gotta wait till the student loan comes in though obviously)

If you can stretch to £185 get the i5-4690K, it can be overclocked.

If you're OK with dual core consider the G3258 (£60), also overclockable. Many games are still reasonable with dual core, and it's plenty for office/internet PC.

It's all very well saying you ordered a 1150 motherboard but which one as there are several different chipsets.

I'd go with 2 options,
1 stretch to 4690k now.
2 buy g258, buy a 4790k down the road.

I put a matx build together about a month ago and got the g3258 but It just did not have enough grunt for me and I upgraded to the 4690k its well worth it as long as you are using the z97 chipset
