Ok, so I currently have this and I am really unimpressed with the picture it produces.

I have tried fiddling with the settings, but I think this monitor is totally geared towards people who love the 'vivid' setting on televisions. The sort of settings that adjust the brightness/contrast/colour on the fly (resulting in you actually seeing the screen brightening and darkening, which looks bad). I just can't seem to get a decent picture out of it. Can anybody point me towards what they consider, from experience, a similarly sized monitor that produces a quality picture? LED, LCD or CRT. I don't mind which.

I use the monitor for 90% gaming and 10% browsing and I game at 1920x1080. Thanks for all the advice anyone can give.

Edited: Verifying some details for accuracy first.

Would you be able to quickly contact me via my website (link if you click my name). I am currently discussing some things with Samsung and testing some very similar monitors and need to link to some sources and discuss things which I don't want to do here. They aren't related to retail - you'll get excellent advice and choice on that at Overclockers.

Oh... That does change things slightly. Still if you could contact me that would be great. I was going to suggest some nice settings you could try with the S23A350H but having briefly used the BX2431 (and being rather disappointed by it myself) I can completely see where you're coming from. I was actually going to review this model but frankly couldn't be bothered wasting my time. Not sure what Samsung were thinking and was convinced I had a poor unit - but it seems not.

I have posted on your forum. Thanks for you replies on here. I might just sell this monitor to some unfortunate for £125ish (still go for about £190 new) and pick up the monitor you mentioned above.
