Decent 4890

Ok.

Out of the ones on OCUK site, what really is the difference in them?

Just the makes? I mean i can see some have a slightly higher numbers, but is that about it?

They are all pretty similar based on the same reference design, look for ones with the longest warranties and if they have added games etc. Also check the reviews for issues like "sounds like an aircraft taking off all the time" or "whisper quiet". All are DDR5 memory and the only difference is the core clock has been tweaked a bit more in the factory on some.

XFX- has the life warrenty and you can sell your card to some one and they will have warrenty as well

ASUS- had a very good voerclocking program that comes with the card on the cd (i have not used it my self)

other bards- as are as i know are all using the refernce cooler and come with the same things

if you had the choice, would you have a 4890 GFX or go for a 4870x2 card, lets say for example

the 4890 is plenty for a 1920x1200 monitor the 4870x2 is way overkill unless you have 2500x1500 resolution then ofc you have lots of cash to burn

Depends on your resolution.

I certainly wouldn't go for that Gainward, go for the cheapest 4870X2, it's a £100 cheaper.
