I'm looking for a new board to install in my 4th machine. Machine 4 is a toy really, not up to much. As such I am not keen on spending that much on it. I have two CPUs, an e6700 (1066 FSB) and a E2160 (800 FSB).

I am going to overclock both of them at some point. Currently the e2160 is in machine 3, on an Asrock DUALVSTA, chugging quite happily at 2.67, it will do more but to be honest the rest of the components let it down (DDR RAM and 6600GT AGP).

My wife is also keen on me putting the e6700 in her machine and taking her e2160 to be the toy.

Anyway, long story short, what is a decent-ish mobo for around 50 quid (60 max). My wife's board is a P35 based MSi NEO-F , and it seems to be quite ok. We paid around 55 quid for it.

Thes rest of the kit for machine 4 is as follows

OCZ Gold DDR2 - 2GB (when I get it back on RMA from OCZ)
E6700/e2160
MSI 7800GTX 256MB version
SATA DVD writer (Samsung)
SATA 160GB Hard disk (Seagate, forget model)
PATA 120GB Hard disk (Maxtor P.O.S. - but it works 90% of the time).

Suggestions?

Both good boards but apparently can't sustain overclocks for months on end, due to lack of VRM cooling or suchlike, will burn out. That's 'apparently' though. Don't quote me on it.

Can't see why the Gigabyte can't hold overclocks. It has the same VRM cooling as my old DS3P (ie none) and it ran an overclocked Q6600 under 100% load for nearly a year before I sold it.

I'm running a P31-DS3L here with a Q6600 G0 at 3.6GHz, and it's been running 24/7 Folding@Home (100% CPU utilization all the time) and it's never missed a beat. The chipset heatsinks do get hot and you do need good case airflow though.

The big downside with the P31-DS3L is the fact that it only supports 4 banks of RAM, so you need to be REALLY careful picking your RAM if you want more than 2Gb.
