TLDR, I don't care about fingerprint sensors/FaceID/Bixby/gaming/selfies/wireless charging, I just want ideally something that isn't bloated software wise, snappy that won't slowdown after apps are installed, a decent rear camera, good battery life, an SDHC or XC slot and a bright screen - doesn't have to be high Hz, that personally does nothing for me on a phone.

I was thinking of a Samsung A55, from somewhere like CEX, IIRC I get a 5 year warranty with that too?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks for any insight :)

What are you looking at spending? I'd get the most recent Pixel A series you can.

Edit: no I wouldn't, missed your requirement for an SD slot. Ignore! But what are you looking at spending anyway, useful to know.

I'm genuinely not too sure to be honest, £3-500 used? Ideally from somewhere like CEX? I don't buy contract phones, just contract SIM's, so I prefer to just buy good condition secondhand, the fact you get a 5 year warranty from places like CEX and can get near mint A grade condition, makes it a no brainer, I doubt there would be anything as good new for around that price point, right?

I'm very open to suggestions, I'll admit I haven't gone too deep looking into it, as 99% of what I have seen has no micro SDXC slot :(
