Decent (but not too expensive) brake discs and pads

Guys, can anyone recommend some decent brake pads and discs for my E46 320D that won't break the bank?

The last mechanic I left it with fitted new discs and pads to the rear, but the discs have corroded really badly, and as a result when the car is cold, there is a horrible scraping sound :(

Also I need to replace the handbrake shoes, as he didn't change them, despite me asking him specifically to do so, he just chose to clean them and managed to lose one of the spring clips that hold the rear pads on! Needless to say the car is not going back to him

So, is there a particular brand of pads / discs that I should look towards? I don't want anything too expensive as I have already had to shell out for the junk that he fitted :(

EDIT - I was looking at PAGID discs and pads on EuroCarParts, and they seem reasonably priced, but are they any good?

I've heard good things about nordic brake componants, you can get them direct if you google for them.

I don't think the postage is a killer either.

Just don't get the super cheap ones, i.e. ECP own brand 'Eicher'. Pagid are an OE manufacturer with good rep.
