Decent Card Upgrade?

Hi all,

Purchased a ixus 800 IS a few weeks back and now that im getting more into the Photography scene Ive realised that the supplied 16mb (SD I think) card that came with is is wayy to small.

I havent got a clue about the different cards available. I have about 30 quid to spend? Any suggestions?

Also, am I right in saying some cards have quicker access speeds then others?

I've got a Kingston 1gb Elite Pro 50x speed SD card in one of my cameras

Does the job nicely and can be had for about £15 if you look around

Theres no need to go for a faster card. A standard card is fine in your camera. I would suggest a standard Sandisk card. You can probably get 1gb card for the money you have, but that's probably overkill tbh!

Do you mean that it would be too big?

No he means that it will be more than you'll need

My brother is using a 2Gb Corsair card in his IXUS (7MP forget the model) and I think it'll take around 600 pics in large superfine quality
