Decent chain splitter/rivet tool....

Recommend me one please, I had a cheapo Motrax one that went brittle and broke after a couple of years :eek:

This one is brilliant, doubles as a small weapon. It's built like a brick outhouse, it broke a 520 chain with no grinding of the rivet heads.

just grind through the chain or rivets? why stress the tool unnecessarily splitting a chain?

I bought a dirt cheap one from china and it worked flawlessly,something like £12 but cant find the link now

I didn't have a grinder to hand, it shows how strong that one is though.

It's the exact model I had ,perhaps mine had a defect?

ahh fair enough,might be worth splashing out on an expensive one if you use it regular

sealey tools are a good brand,they do one but its £56

Did my Hornet chain with this. Worked nicely.
