Decent/easy video capture software??

Can anyone recommend me a decent, but easy video capture package?? I have taken loads of mini dv footage for a holiday but the software with my JVC camera seems a bit crappy!!

I'm a complete noob when it comes to this, so its gotta be pretty simple!!!

I've not go a lot of experience with movie capture, but I think XP move maker should do everything you want and is free.

If you don't mind paying a few pounds then Adobe Premier Elements will do the trick nicely
