Hi, I've got the upgrade itch and was considering possibly upgrading my RAM. I'm currently using 8Gb of G.Skill Ripjaws X running at 1600MHz with CL9 timings at 1.35V. I was thinking about getting some faster RAM, I probably don't need any more that 8Gb and I would want either black or blue RAM to match my motherboard. Thanks :)

8GB Kingston HyperX 2400mhz CL11 kit, around £70 the last time I looked and blue.

Though have you tried overclocking your RipjawsX's? iirc they were designed for Z77 and with a base voltage of 1.35v you have loads of room for more volts....

I haven't actually tried overclocking them yet, I suppose it would make sense to give that a go first. I haven't actually tried overclocking RAM before, is 1.5V generally accepted as the safe maximum for Z77?

Samsung green's are very good overclockers, managed to get mine to 2133 stable at 1.5V, Haven't tried pushing them any further. Unfortunately, they went up in price by £15 though.

You should be fine upto 1.65v, pushed mine further than this.

Maybe worth posting in ask 8pack section if your unsure what to do.

Your having a laugh man!!! 1.65v easy on that IC. Should scale to 1.75v.
