Had a go of street fighter 4 the weekend and my appetite is well and truly wet. Are there any decent beat 'em ups for the pc while I wait for it to come to the pc.?

ggpo and 2df google those don't think it's classed as illegal these days especially seeing as capcom are allegedly in discussions to use ggpo for sf4 match making.

Guilty Gear XX #Reload - The Midnight Carnival.

It has an official PC port, but unfortunately, no online play although you can search for an unofficial third party patch to do that. Its one of the best and underrated 2D fighting games out there with deep technical play and weapons.

Thats probably about the most modern fighting game I can think of for the PC. If you want to step back to like way over a decade ago, there are PC ports of a few Street Fighter games (Alpha 2), or Sega's Virtua Fighter 1 and 2.

Otherwise last resort is to go to emulators and ROMs or search deep on the interweb for some Japanese doujinshi games.

Capcom's Devil May Cry4 is superb but not strictly pure fighting more like an arcade adventure with lots of amazing fighting sequences in it & top notch gfx.

Same. Patiently waiting for sf4 then will start raging when people use macros on me xD

Yeah but you could never tell if they were using macros or not. I didnt even realise this was possible until someone mentioned it. How sad is that!

I wouldnt mind having a go on SF4 but I think I will play on a console, at least I can see who the other person is when they beat me with skill rather than cheating macros.

Anyone over the age of 14 should be ashamed to even think of doing so ;)

Is it possible to play this with a keyboard and mouse? Or will you be best of using a controller, if so I wouldnt mind buying one, just making sure though.

It is possible, but dont expect to pull of decent combos at once though. Due to the speed and intensity of a game like this, a gamepad is a must. The Xbox 360 pad is already support ingame though so that is the easiest option.
