Decent fittings

Atm im using a h100i I am going to be moving back to a custom loop.

Because of various problems I have had in the past this time im going to be using premium fittings.

With this is mind im going for Bitspowe, I have not read many problems with them.


Now the tubing im going to be using is Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 19/13 - Clear

Now im still quite a novice and there is a abuntant of choices and was wondering if some kind soul could do me a list of Bitspower Matt Black for the above tubing.

I would want :
x4 45 degree fittings
x4 90 degree fittings
x12 straight compression fittings

Any others I could possibly need ?

I will be connecting:
motherboard block
Res
Pump
360 rad
480 rad
Cpu block

If someone could do the basket tool please so I know what to order would be great.

What problems did you have before and with which fittings?

The vast majority of compression fittings from decent brands are reliable, so if it is just for reliability, no need to spend a fortune for bitspower. I can see the appeal if you are after the look though.

your only paying for the looks really, and in all honesty, the xspc ones look fine, the onyl reason id have bitspower connections is if i was having the crystal link connectors, Monsoon do some really nice fittings, take alook at them, again, your paying for the looks as the XSPC ones are just as good.
 
oh... urm, i thought it would be the ones i did for his tubing?! have i confused myself again :/ 19/13? which would be 1/2" ID 3/4" OD wouldnt it? :/

aaah, my heads to tired.
 
Tbh I have had problems with leaks mostly, from various things.
Leaking rotaries(Bare in mind I have also bought a lot of second hand ones, and im sure the orings had gone on a lot of them)

Yes I realise Bitspower are for looks, but also I haven't seen any threads of complaint only I think it was a rotary 45 deg a while back.
I have tried the older ek 7/16, while I did not have any leaks using it, I always thought the tubing looked very thin.

I have had problems where I thought the fitting was tight enough on a res(made sure the oring was just compressed pass hand lvl of turning) and when trying to tidy the tubing up the tubing had undone the whole compression.
Also had slight beeds of water blah blah list goes on.

So I thought the wife is treating me, I like the look of them, I have spent enough on my pc, so il treat it some more.

EDIt: Also I have trouble that I have for example bought half in tubing and had half inch compression fittings yet the fittings sometimes did not feel all that tight on the tugging, if you understand me
I was thinking of the blood red ones, but if I ever changed colour case/mobo scheme ect they would be pretty useless lol.

Another reason hy I wanted Bitspower the amount of different ones you can get. 45/60/90 deg ect if you know what I mean. and im hoping these oens will last a long time.

Is it me I just been looking at the Bitspower fittings, for example the matt black ones, the o ring seems very big, which I would have thought is better, so you would only need to hand tighten them just so the o-ring starts to compress ?
 
I'm currently useing those XSPC fittings and thinking about replacing them as I have a couple of problems with a couple of the 45 angle bends leaking a slight bit when things are moved. I have done them up as tight as possible but they seem to be leaking in the rotary part. It might be user error though? I'm stripping down my system in the next week or 2 so will check them thoroughly.
Bitspower are to expensive for me.
 
I was checking US prices and the bitspower fittings are almost half of what we pay, we really to get the shaft this side of the pond - Adam

After several issues with my last build the XSPC barbs are the ones I finally went with and had no issues with at all.

One of the cheapest barbs on the market and feel a lot better then some of the more expensive ones I bought.
 
I've only ever used cheap fittings - several of them second hand. No problems yet, but this may be partly because I try hard to avoid angled barbs wherever possible. The tighter bends are wrapped in a steel spring, which seems to work well. That could be an alternaive.
 
Generally all known brand compression fittings are pretty much the same in terms of reliability, it's only when you go for cheap nasty ones do you find issues.

EK / XSPC / Bitspower / Monsoon, all fine imo.

Probably in price/sensible order too. Monsoon being hugely expensive.

Never ever had a leak with a compression fitting, can't see how you could without doing something wrong (user error). (Ignoring angled ones, but that should only usually be down to the O-ring, but again, not had any wrong touch wood.

AS I said I think my problem was more old fittings, and the o rings was worn ect and when I turned them so the o rings was compressed I would tighten them with a pair of pliers ect and tighten them slighty. all would be fine until I moved one of the tubes for example then it would unscrew from the rad for example, or a slight water bead would form ect, those sort of probs.

So this time I decded wrightly or wrongly I wanted the best or one of the best, both visualy and there reputation. and buying them bits at a time doesn't seem so bad as having to buy out all at the start.

I just need some spacers I think and normal compression then im sorted.

I have to say though although bittspower are one of the more exspensive brands they have a lot more variety of fitings in the catalogue.
