Decent "free" MMORPG's?

Apart from runescape?

Looking for one to get hooked to, i doubt there are any good free ones but you lot might be able to dig up something.

I used to play Legend of Mir and Helbreath but not anymore.

You could give planetside a go, they do a years free trial thingy but you cant get past like lvl 12 or somethng, its not bad for a quick blast until you get bored of it.

www.tibia.com Its only 2D but not all good games have to be 3D. Its also completely free but you can upgrade your account to obtain extra features.

Planetside, as madmatty suggested, is a fantastic FREE game. it is about 3 years old now but still a lot of people play. if you like FPS games you should like it. About 2 years ago a guy i work with told me about it so i went to his house one night to check it out, well that was it, i went straight out and bought all the components i needed to build my p.c. just to play PLANETSIDE and i still play it quite a bit but i have to pay for it (about £8/9 a month). go on try it---its free.

Currently playing Hero Online only made official release a few weeks ago and still has a fair bit to be implemented (PvP only part working at the moment). Good fun for a free game.
