As above, I'm looking for a host that provides free websites for the time being.

One with as few ads listed on the web pages as possible.

There's no such thing! All free hosts are pants for one reason or another, really, unless you're just looking for blog space or a very basic HTML site. At the end of the day, they need to make money from you somehow, and giving loads of stuff away isn't going to get them money!

Someone on this forum may well donate you some hosting, if your requirements are small..!

I haven't used a free host for about 5 years though so I can't give any opinions on them! It's just I can't imagine them giving much away, there's likely to be a catch 22...

Used them for a year now, had no problems on a couple of sites I have with them. No banners or pop ups.
 
I can offer free hosting with MySQL/PHP Support can even add your own domain too (you need to buy that though :p)
