I'm looking for a good (wired preferably) gamepad for the PC.

Thing is, I do prefer the PS3 shape controllers to the Xbox, I know there's not a lot of difference in them nowadays, but still..

Any suggestions?

I am using Win 7 64bit and have just read the guides on how to get a proper PS3 pad working, but it sounds a lot of hassle with all this disabling driver signing etc, so I would prefer something thats more plug n play with proper drivers.

Nothing beats a xbox 360 gamepad (wired or wireless)
Works with every game i tryed so far with no hassle

Many PC games are even already setup for use with a xbox360 pad..

+1 for the Xbox 360 pad. Works great with no fiddling with just about every game. I had a PS3 style pad before because I preferred the shape, but soon got fed up with mapping buttons for everything and it not working with some games.

Hi

I have 2 of the Wireless Microsoft XBOX pads, they are great, work with everything and are pretty comfortable.

You would be insane to purchase anything other than the 360 controller when most PC games these days are designed with that controller in mind. One of the best purchases I ever made for my PC.

Mines wired cause I only use it sat at the PC. Same reason my keyboard and mouse is wired. On the consoles wireless is the only way

The XBOX 360 controller is great UNLESS you need a decent d-pad when I'd suggest a PS2 controller with a PS2 to PC adaptor. Also I quite like the Logitech Dual action controller as it's about as good as the XBOX 360 one overall and its d-pad isn't quite as awful....
