Currently use Bose QC35's as headphones of choice but looking for a decent gaming headset that has a decent mic...

Any recommendations of something that won't break the bank but still has a good mic ? And not Razer

Do you have noisy or quiet environment?

Well, not really much in open ear cup design ones...
Unless using ModMic, which turns any headphone into headset.

What's your budget?

I switched to a desk mic with some budget open back "audiophile" headphones and a DAC couple years ago... couldnt go back now and I tried about half a dozen of the "good" gaming headsets before this

I second this.

Pick up one of these;

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £198.65 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Use your bose headphone and pair it with a mic and you're good to go.

Thanks and @Reuben klang i think i'll be going the seperate mic route. A pity bose have been so adamant they will not sell the gaming mic seperately.

This is what I got:

USB Microphone,Fifine Metal Condenser Recording Microphone for Laptop MAC or Windows Cardioid Studio Recording Vocals, Voice Overs,Streaming Broadcast and YouTube Videos-669B
FiiO Q1ii (2nd Gen) DAC and Headphone Amplifier
Philips Fidelio X2HR High Resolution Headphones with Velvet Cushions - Black

I think there are better options for all though, although for the price the mic is great now that I've put it on a cheap desk boom.
