Hello,

Have now been looking up a gaming laptop around the 1000-1300 range. Don't expect to be playing anything overly intense.

Would this be a generally good laptop or should I go a bit higher to get better specs?

This perhaps?

Thanks

The MSI Crosshair you link to is significantly better and faster performing than the Katana.

I would expect in real world use 20%-30% better fps in games if not more with the RTX4060 over 4050 and that CPU.

Also a much nicer screen. I seem to recall the Katana still has cooling and throttling issues too.

If budget is tight then this Asus for the RTX4060

Great. Thank you.

I could probably stretch to 1300. Would the Crosshair be the best choice at that price?

You can get the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 15.6" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 8945H, RTX 4070, 1 TB SSD in budget which would be my overall pick at the moment.

It's out of stock at OcUK unfortunately but still available.
