Hi all. Looking at getting my dad something similar to a go-pro for recording his mountain bike adventures for xmas.

What are the options out there? Waterproof and a decent battery life are musts.

Cheers

I'd buy the GoPro Hero 2014 for around £85.

Waterproof and 2h45m battery life, plus GoPro quality, reliability and warranty.

Failing that, the SJ4000's are rather good, except for battery life.

I has a SJ4000, ok quality but the housing flooded in salt water and destroyed the camera :( I've now had a few issues with chinese knock offs, so yes they are cheaper but you gets what you pays. If I was to go back and do it again I would also go for cheaper Hero.

just bought Hero 3+ for 139.

I also got Hero for 50, but the extras on 3+ seem to be worth it. I would defo not pay 85-90 for it though.
