Decent Good value first 3d printer

Personally I'd probably get one that involves a some manual fiddling, so you learn manual levelling, 100 point calibration etc...throw yourself into the deep end rather than just use something like Bambu where just switch on.

I don't have a 3D printer, however as someone who'd want to get into the technical side of it..
Each to their own, but even with Bambu there's more than enough to fiddle with. Plenty of experimentation with how best to print things for Strength, Speed, Filament saving etc

I'd rather spend my time fiddling with useful settings that have an outcome on what I'm actually printing, and just let the printer calibrate itself :)

Not sure why you would when going forward it's not required knowledge these days. I did however build my Prusa Core One Kit and the replacement parts I've needed to change on the Bambu P1S I just followed along to the steps on their site. I could have spend 100 hours fiddling on previous printers it wouldn't have made any difference when there's good step by step instructions available.

The days of having to level with a sheet of A4 are over just as the days of having to assemble your printer from a random selection of parts was replaced with mostly pre built bed slingers.

tbh it's probably best to get the bed physically level as possible so the 100 point correction has to do less during the print process

Just watched video of louis rossman and bambu labs. I wouldn't give that company a penny

I actually turned to Prusa when I needed a second printer (Core One) after the last fiasco, however I was getting tempted back with their new products being even better value than the original P1S etc but this has put me off again...
