Decent hot dog sausage

Anyone know where I can buy decent hot dog sausages, not these pretend chicken meat pap the supermarkets sell?

Herters frankfurters, fresh white hot dog roll, American mustard, tomato ketchup. Mmmm.

I'm aware that these probably don't fall under your definition of decent, but I had to vent how much I love them.

Ps - strangely they taste amazing when microwaved.

Bratwurst work really well. Cook them in beer with some onion (don't simmer or they split). You can brown them before or after if you like

Easier and quicker to snap a Matthesons sausage in half and microwave it though

Go the butchers and ask them to make proper foot long sausages.... It's the only way.

This. Costco's hot dogs are similar to ones I had in NYC and very cheap too!

It's all about the fresh bun, onions, French's mustard and ketchup though.

Seems the UK has a lack of decent Hot Dog sausage, I was nearly sick looking on the supermarket shelf at the mechanically separated chicken Yuk!

But I have just remembered that Lidl do a decent bratwurst fresh and in a jar, that has a nice meat content which is not chicken.
