I am looking at new machines and may end up going for a high end laptop.

My old desktop has an Nvidia GTX 260 768Mb card and has been sufficient for most games I want to play.

What laptop graphics should I look at for equivalent or better performance?

Thanks
Andrew

560/570M or 660/670M should be around similar performance to the 260, however keep in mind that most laptops only have a res slightly above 720p, so you can get away with less power, so a 550/650M might be int he same general performance level.

Thanks both.
I'll check out the advert.
I think I've looked at a couple with those cards in and one had a 675M but it was a bit pricey.

I will probably have an external monitor for gaming but I see what you mean about dropping a level. It might be something to look at dependant on pricing.

Are you fussed about laptop size/weight? May have a virtually unused Alienware m17x r3 potentially for sale. Abroad atm, so don't have the exact spec to hand but from memory it has a gtx580m, blueray, hd display 1920x1080, hybrid 500gb hdd and i7 2720qm cpu. I bought it for use whilst travelling but it was simply too bulky for my needs though its an awesome laptop. I bought an m14x r1 instead but never got around to selling the m17x r3.
