Before I start, I am seriously considering a Macbook/Macbook Air.. but if there is an alternative, I will happily consider it.
I require a UNIX/Linux/OSX portable device to conduct remote testing of networks. It must ideally be lightweight and portable (<13") as well as have more than sufficient power to perform several command line tasks simultaneously - dealing with a fair amount of data. The ability to relay to a larger screen/projector is a must for demonstration purposes.
It will not be used for gaming (that's my desktop purpose!), and may be required to run basic software (Dreamweaver, Gimp etc).
It must be reliable and stable. Warranty is likely a must, (with the Apple purchases I receive 3yrs warranty due to working in Higher Education).
