I've bought a couple of LED flood lights off the bay
first a 50w which lasted about 2 years then just came on really dim (assume the driver went)
I replaced it with a 100w version which hasn't lasted nearly as long and is now doing the same thing.

Requirements are 50w+ and I can either have one with a PIR built in or I can wire in a separate PIR, not that bothered tbh.

If you want them to last as long as poss then i would use a separate sensor, make sure its rated for led loads - as the built in ones will probably fail quicker than the leds, then you can just swap the sensor

They now make driveless floodlights which are supposed to be more reliable as there is no driver to fail

Buy a reputable brand, the no name brands tend to be worked too hard for the quality of their components and fail early

Maybe something like this

Can you not get a warranty replacement?

I got one of these a few years ago and it's still going strong despite daily use right outside our back door.
probably not, there was a line of what looked like an oily liquid on the inside of the glass when I received it, so I opened it up to clean it and the rubber seal wouldn't go back on (was too big) I ended up using the one of the old light as it was same design and stretching it to make it fit.

Then it turns out the new PIR didn't work so I modded the old one on to the new light as I CBA to send the light back and go through the faff of returning it.

Enlite are supposed to be a decent brand so that is looking like a good option at the minute :)

Don't buy cheap eBay tat and you should be ok!
The issue here is that the market is literally flooded (hoho) with so much cheap tat its hard to know what something decent should cost nowadays.

I've ordered the enlite driverless floodlight linked to above by the way, my spark recently recommended that I bought enlite downlights as they are decent, so I am now working on the assumption that enlite are a decent (not too pricey) brand :)
