im about to do some research myself but i thought id ask you lads quickly too, im after a decent, reliable and not too expensive isp for our new uni house this year, are there any standout providers that you lot use?

First of all check out http://www.samknows.com to see what LLU Providers are available in your area and report back.

I am with UK Online who run on the Easynet network and they are excellent and not too pricy at £19.99 8mb truely unlimited.

Bethere & UK-Online are both good isp they do have some form of FUP
but you need to know if your local exchange supports them

Yes both of them do state a FUP on their website but I have never heard of either companys having to use one on a account. I use around 30gb a month on my connection and havent had any complaints.

If you are going to be doing lots of downloading then i would suggest Be or maybe one of the Enta Resellers but depends on your expected usage.
