Decent optical splitter

Hey all. Wonder if someone could help me please. i want to get Dolby digital sound from my Sky HD box. But want to connect it to my soundbase but at the moment my soundbase is connected to the TV via optical so everything connected to my TV i get sound from the sounbase. Apart from the Sky HD box which is connected via HDMI to the TV which i still get sound but not Dolby Digital. So would a optical splitter do the job if so which one suit the best. Which there is few splitters around some better reviews then others
