Hi guys,

I currently own a pair of Logitech LS21 2.1 speakers. Now despite not costing much when I bought them a few years ago (£40) they have to my ears sounded very very good and I have never really felt a need to replace them.

I have now gone to university however and have taken the speakers with me, so I am after a nicer pair that I can keep in my room for when I return for weekends and christmas etc.

I would like a decent upgrade over what I have now, and another feature I would really like is the ability to stream music over bluetooth from my phone and tablet. My budget is around £100 but this can be increased if there is a truly great set of speakers that are a little more. I have heard a lot about Harmon Kardons SoundStick speakers and the reviews I have read seem to speak highly of them.

The speakers will mainly be used for streaming music as well as being connected to my laptop, so again music and the occasional video.

Cheers in advance for any advice :)

£100 might get you a stereo amp and some decent speakers :)

Wharfdale Diamond 9.o from richer sounds @£40
Cambridge Audio Topaz AM1 from the same place is £69.99

might even be able to pick up a better amp if your local has some open box gear

for bluetooth dont bother with separates. just get the soundsticks 3. They don't sound anything as good as the worst separates you can get however they will do bluetooth for under £100 and have a sub. Nothing else will for £100/

I completely missed the bit about bluetooth sorry dude :(
Yeah the soundsticks seem to get decent feedback and pop up now and again at pretty good prices.

So are you guys saying that if I sacrifice the bluetooth requirement, I could get something that is much better in terms of sound quality for my money?

The diamond 9 speakers are pretty highly regarded.
The AMP I've not researched into much but CA are a reputable brand, I bought my amp quite a long time back and it's still going fine.
