decent push-pin CPU cooler?

I have an E8500 and was wondering if there's any decent alternatives to the stock intel push-pin cooler. The main reason is, i don't want to have to remove the motherboard as it's just another pain in the arse.

I know it probably won't be as good temps as the backplate ones but i don't care too much as i'll only overclocke a little. So far i'm thinking of the AC7 freezer pro as it's cheapish and gets some good reviews on ocuk.

Is this good enough for small overclock? if anyone knows of any better i'd apprciate it. cheers.

AC7 is good for most overclocks apart from extreme stuff.

Another alternative is Xigmatek HDT-S1283/OCZ Vendetta 2 which are regarded as better, quieter coolers but are slightly more expensive.

thermaltake v1?
good quality
nice cooling ability - not too loud on med fan setting
pushpins for an intel socket too

Akasa AK965. Got one for £12 the other week and am really impressed. It's apparently a little quieter than the AC7 (according to reviews-I've never owned one). It's also cheaper, and keeps my 4500@3Ghz under 60C at full load-temps normally top out at around 58. At idle I'm running at around 28.

I'm currently testing an Akasa Revo that was given to me over the weekend.

Its actually surprised me quite a lot. Performance wise my chip has only increased by around 2c over my Noctua (E7200 @ 4ghz) and if I dont include removing my Noctua from the set-up it quite honestly took around 2 minutes to fit it.

Its quite expensive though to be fair.

Fair enough, OCUK used to stock OCZ fans (got my Vendetta from here), but don't any more. Don't think they've ever stocked Xigamtek.
