Currently using a K95 RGB platinum, with I think, red switches.

It's a great keyboard and I get some great use out of it, but as I am doing a lot more typing, I am looking for something quieter.

I see that Corsair did at one point sell this with "MX Silent" switches, however that does not seem to be available anymore and I don't really fancy buying one used. (Found one new for £279 which just isn't going to happen!)

Have been Using a Wireless Microsoft keyboard temporarily, when I have a lot of typing to do late at night (Laptop style) but my productivity is a lot lower with that.

Can anyone recommend a quiet replacement keyboard that won't break the bank please?

I have a board with red mx silents that I keep in the office for when I am in, can confirm they dont make a lot of noise. No real help with recommendations I'm afraid. I really like keychron boards but they are pricey unless you find one on sale

Red switches themselves are pretty quiet, it’s generally the key bottoming out and hitting the metal backplate that is noisy. Have you tried just putting o rings on your k95?

Yeah tried o-rings, helped a bit but not as much as I would like, main issue was finding a way to dampen the spacebar which was / is the noisiest of the lot.

I haven't tried one, but there is the Das Keyboard range, and the brown switches are silent:

Hadn't heard of them. Thanks I'll take a look.

Gave in and bought a used K95 with MX Silent switches. £48 , Can't really go wrong with that i think if i clean it up and chuck some new key-caps on.
