Decent Router for 120Mbit WLAN

Looking for recommendations for a 120Mbit+ Router, so Gigabit WLAN and LAN.

With N/A WiFi, decent GUI with no lack of options. I am with VM so it'll be Cable. (FTTC?)

Obviously stable, tried and tested.

Any recommendations?

What he said, the N56U with the third party firmware is nearly on par with the N66U - the N66 has external aerials, faster wireless N but slightly slower WAN speeds however.

And by slower WAN speeds, we're still talking 730mb instead of 800mb. Depends what you want really, the N56U is very capable, and for the price is an absolute bargain. I have had both, and obviously prefer the 66U.

What devices are people connecting to get 100Mb over wireless? My laptop only manages 65Mb as it's fairly old.

The 615 is a great router when flashed to DD-WRT, it handled 95Mb before the 100Mb upgrade hence why I bought a N56U.

I meant what devices are people connecting to their router over wifi to get 100meg because there's not many devices on the whole that can connect at that speed.

Pretty much every laptop/desktop with wireless has 802.11n now. With a move to go to 802.11ac soon for over 1Gbps wireless connectivity. So a lot of devices really.

devices that only have a single antenna will be limited to 65mbps, like olders laptops and just about every mobile phone released more than 6 months ago (including phones like the galaxy s2). wireless-n is very broad on the range of transmission speeds that it covers

i use my laptop that as a intel wireless N/bluetooch 3.0 card

Use this to test the actual speed of your network.

You need to have a network share that you can read/write to. ie.. \\otherpc\sharedfolder
