Decent tyres

Afternoon all,

I know this gets asked a million times a week but I'm pants at tyres and never stay up to date. OH requires 2 front tyres for her Fiat Bravo (1.4T petrol, 150bhp, 2007), current front tyres are Continental's (not sure which type - rears are a different brand) and size is 225 /45 / R17 (91W) so what would people recommend?

Looking to order from Camskill, Blackcircles or another similar website as a friend owns a garage and will fit and balance etc... for us.

Obviously looking for decent tyres and nothing budget, from my brief look on the net it appears known brand tyres start at about £75 and decent stuff (Continental Contact Sport 5) are about £95 so is it just worth going for those or is there a better tyre in this size for that sort of price range (£75-£95)?

Cheers

I'd stick with the same make and model tyres especially if the rears are the same. Continental are a good make and you won't get much better without paying a lot more and they will then be rather more a specialist tyre.

Andi.

Rears are completely different make and model, Bridgestone I think. Only the 2 fronts are Continentals but both are near the limit.

Not after a specialist tyre, want to know if the Continental Contact Sport 5's are the best available or what people generally go for?

Contis or Eagle F1A2s are both good options.

Seem to be the go to options in this size. I'm just pricing up some F1A2s and they are coming in at a very reasonable £85 a corner from Camskill.

Had them on my Impreza and they were great.

I must be missing something as on Camskill I can't see the F1A2s in 225/45/17?

Edit: Ignore that - found them, assume it's these: Clicky
