Hi

I've just picked myself up a 22u 900mm deep rack cabinet. I've got a single set of Dell Easy rails for my R410 but I need some decent sliding universal rails for my two Rosewill RSV-L4500 4u chassis.

The rosewill rails I can't find so I'm looking for some guidance on what people consider to be decent universal rails; or perhaps some decent rails that I could fit.

Thanks,

Chris

I've mostly found even the generic rack accessories fine aslong as your cabinet has a few mm of tolerance (main issue with some of the cheaper stuff the mountings can be a little out). Be interested to see what people suggest as been pondering sticking the shelf in mine on rails or swapping it for a sliding shelf.

The cabinet should be fine, it was around $1500NZD and is incredibly well made. Well, I hope its fine, certainly seems strong and sturdy as well as professionally finished (anodised coatings etc.).

Was meaning the cheaper accessories not the cabinet - some of the higher end cabinets are made very precisely to standard measurements while the cheaper rails, etc. aren't always as precisely made. Mine has reasonable tolerance so can take some of the cheaper stuff fine but some I've worked on it isn't the case.

ah I get you, yes I can understand that given that some accessories are so cheap that the cost to manufacture must be really cheap and than normally means poor tolerances...
