I've got a bit of an upgrade itch and am wondering what a decent upgrade from my 6800XT would be?

I game at 1440p and the rest of my specs are in my sig.

Ideally a quiet GPU too!

Not sure there really is at the moment. I upgraded from a 6800 to a 7900GRE which gave me a decent uplift and a decent RT amount as well although not comparable to 4000 series Nvidia cards. I am happy as I really wanted a sapphire nitro. If I were you I would wait for RDNA 4 or possibly a reduced price 4080 super if it comes up.

Best to wait for more news on RDNA 4, unless you have a lot of cash to burn. E.g. 7800 XT is barely any faster than what you have.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade? A quick Google (albeit only on of these benchmark score websites) would seem to suggest not much of a difference between my 5600X and a 5700X3D??
Depends on the game/software/resolution, the 5700x3d has 2 extra cores and extra L3.

Truth be told I'm not exactly struggling to run anything I'm playing - the (I assume) GPU fans could stand to be a bit quieter but other than that I'd be just ust upgrading for the sake of it!

May as well wait for RDNA4 if you're not struggling to run anything, unless you want to fork out £800+ for ~4080 performance, which is absolutely not worth it.
