Decent upgrade from msi 660ti

Hi guys,

First I wanted to say thanks for all help and advice you have given on my previous threads.

My specs are: Asus Sabertooth Z77
16gb corsair vengeance 2133mhz red edition
benq 2420t
600w corsair cx series
msi 660ti
i5 3570k cpu

I know that all of these are quite outdated, but am still able to play on high res all the latest games. Been adviced by mate that might need to upgrade the gpu, which gpu should I go for if i play on single moni and 1080p?

I would say 300-400. But remember am not using dual monitors.

Then id be looking at either a 290 or a gtx 780, have a look at a few reviews too see what features from each manufacturer will be most useful for you. Both perform pretty similairly.

290 is also good but I prefer nvidia's drivers.

An aftermarkt R9 290 - I have seem them on offer for under £300 at times!

I change my advice to...stick with what you have now.

Your setup is hardly outdated.

Been told the same that 760 will do everything else is fine. What do you think?

Don't bother upgrading to a 760.

Yeah, I would want to push the upgrade further if coming from a 660ti, as a 760 isn't that much faster. Not enough of a jump in performance imo.
