currently have a 550be unlocked to quad and overclocked to 3.6ghz which is the max it is stable at, however it is bottlenecking my Crossfire 6850's.

I have been offered a AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz (3.3Ghz Turbo) Hex Core AM3 CPU for £75, will this be a decent upgrade and will i have any bottleneck? i'd also overclock the 1055t, cheers

Yeah that should do the trick, try to OC past 3.6Ghz on the new chip, maybe get some decent cooling for higher voltages!

Got an asus royal knight atm so ive got some good temps with my current cpu, hopefully if i get the 1055t i can get a decent overclock out of that, just curious as i dont know much about bottlenecks and dont want to buy it and still have a bottleneck
