Could someone point me in the direction of a decent but cheap usb memory stick?
-Needs to be 2/4GB
-Quick as possible
-Small as possible
-Not really worried about readyboost although that would be a bonus
-Dont want any fancy features like encryption/security/bundles software etc.

Looking at around £15, hopefully less.

Thanks for any advice.

I've got an integral 2GB, got it from work for free but I assume its pretty cheap as Im in the public sector!
Seems to work well, not readyboost compatable though

I've just ordered the Corsair Flash Voyager 4GB, seems pretty quick looking at figures. cost £22 inc delivery. But they do a 2GB which will be less than £15 inc delivery. I went for this as i think it looks good, and well protected. Plus its a good name, so shouldn't be cheap crappy rubbish that some places sell for next to nothing.

i use the corsair voyager GT 4gb, went for it over the non GT (blue) model since a mate had it and it was too slow for me in transfer speeds. the GT (red) one i have is a bucket load faster than the non GT model and im very happy with it.

also note the cap of the corsair voyager has become a bit loose now over time so its not a tight fit anymore so it may get lost at some point.

I have the Corsair Voyager GT 8GB. It's Awesome!

A transfer test on my 8GB Corsair gave the following results:

1.12GB 160 files (Mp3's) in 13 Folders transfered in 55 seconds.

959MB Norton Ghost image in 36 seconds.

Nero Burning Rom 8.1.1.4 trial (179MB) in 8 seconds.

76MB file in less than 3 seconds.

When running a test using my laptop not my pc I had the following results.

Test file used was Nero 8.1.1.4 (179mb)

Corsair 8GB GT - 10 seconds

Sandisk Cruzer Micro 4GB - 21 seconds

Integral 2GB - 1min 21 seconds

Crucial 256mb (Fat32) 3min 45 seconds

1GB (unbranded) 1min 3sconds

As you can see the Corsair kicked ass! :) It just depends how big the files are that you transfer, I tend to copy single files up to 400mb. If all you back up is word docs etc it won't make such a difference.

I just bought a 4Gb one for £16.99 delivered (FREE P&P) and it's extremly well built and is going to be able to take some serious abuse.
Not as fast as the Corsair but no slow coach either and pound for pound I would say it's amongst the best out their.
Great flash drive :D
