Decent winter coat?

Hey guys,

Fed up of getting soaked, and especially now it's starting to get cold, it's time i bought a proper coat!

Just been looking around, would something like the Regatta Defender 3 in 1 be any good or should i be looking at something a little better?

Would like to be able to use it in all conditions inc snow, perhaps for the odd snowy photography excursion but Im not going to be climbing any mountains any time soon so don't need anything too extreme!

i mean more of a modern style than traditional yea, a 3 in 1 style

that looks nice but something more like a third to half of its price please, as stated I'm walking the dog for a few hours not climbing everest

That regatta one I spoke of is on sale at £30 down from £60, which seems a little too cheap, but im definitely not going to spend 180 on one

I didnt see this as a typical gd how do I whipe my butt thread given there is such a wide range of prices with coats that there must be some reasoning behind it! I generally think you're more likely to get decent advise on a forum like this than from a sales monkey doing one day a week trying to push me to the highest margin coat.

Looks nice, I have a similar one for work but not really great for walking/photo excursions in the snow (i have been known to lie down in the snow to get a good angle

)
