Is there such a thing as a decent home wireless AP? Seems to jump from fairly cheapo ones to enterprise grade stuff with little in between. I have a TP Link TL-WA901ND (v2.4) which frequently needs to be restarted to keep it running. Prior to this I had an Apple airport that had a similar problem and was barely capable of doing more than a couple of mb transfer speeds. Can anyone recommend a decent AP? 2.4ghz wireless N is fine for what I need.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same AP as you and it has been rock solid for me.

The Ubiquiti stuff is actually pretty reasonably priced if you want more resilient gear.

Maybe I just have bad luck with AP's?! I was looking at DD-WRT'ing it, however my end of night shift brain thinks it looks complicated and risky, plus I read something about the ethernet not working and it being more of a repeater?

The UBIQUITI stuff looks good, and the bottom end of there stuff is reasonably affordable compared to some enterprise stuff. Thanks
