For the first time in my life I have to use a wireless connection for my gaming tower. I have recently moved into a concrete tower block in London and can only get an ADSL connection. Router is some cheap Talktalk supplied Huawei hg523a. (Which I could replace with the upgraded HG533 with wireless N
How much hype surrounds the premium wireless cards like the £75 Asus one?
I live on the floor above the router and one room over. My laptop gets 3 out of 5 bars on a standard Intel internal Wifi card. I get roughly a ping of 50 on wireless and 40ish when wired.
So some recommendations would be perfect!

PS: Powerline is a no go due to the state of the electrics being unknown.
