My keyboard died (12 years old) :D

i would like to get a mechanical keyboard with minimal setup (nothing like the k70 software please)

i play a lot of Arma3 and do a fair bit of typing - ideally under £100 but not essential for the right one

i am very noob on this!

Had a week with a K65 Rapidfire and the acuation is something crazy. You can choose if like me to disable lights and macros and simply install the driver and save the profile to the device memory and then untick load at startup.

So there will be no software at all, It will just be a 1000hz Cherry MX Speed keyboard and only Corsair sell those for six months.

Agreed - the Zibal at the current price is epic. No software needed, no fancy extra features that aren't really needed, but a very solid construction and a good backlight.

If you don't care about RGB jimmothy then mechanical keyboards haven't advanced in the last 5 years.

Meh, 12 years is a baby, Up until last week I was still using a Compaq manufactured in 1997 :) PS2, split spacebar, and that lovely tobacco stained colour of off white.
It has outlasted 3 USB keyboards and 2 PS2 keyboards going back to 2000.
You can even take it apart and wash the keyboard as they are strange press keys which hit rubber pads on a flimsy plastic like circuit board, All the keys are still readable and it works perfectly after 19 years!
:D
