After commuting all year round on sportsbikes for the last 15 years, I decided to go with something a little different.

Cords, pipe and slippers are on order.

Going to have to sell a bike to make room for it though!

Ooo I don't know about that. Bloke I was working with last week turned up on a stripped down 30 year old ex racer and he said it's a helluva lot of fun. Sounded great and looked fantastic.

That's something my dad would ride.

He used to have a BMW R65 but sold it when I was born and never got on a bike since.

I rest my case! The purchase brief was reliability and safety for the commute- the other toys in my garage will now be weekend toys. Having said that, it's a blast to ride. Huge grunt, excellent chassis, the only downside is it gets a bit wheezy at the top end, but plenty quick enough for my commuting route. Might even take it out for the odd bit of touring.

very different... best bit is you can use tops of cylinders to heat up pies and pastys :)

Or fingers- it's got just about all the options except heated grips, DOH! Might get a retrofit kit though towards the end of summer.
