Hi Guys,

Just looking for a bit of advice in regards to my monitor upgrade..

I am currently looking to upgrade to one of the three monitors listed below:

Monitors:

LG Flatron 29UM65-P 29"

Acer Predator 4k2k XB280HK 28" G-Sync

Asus PG278Q ROG Swift 27" G-Sync 144Hz
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-070-AS

What it will be used for:

The games i am currently playing on my rig are titles like BF4, CS:GO and league of legends. I will also be playing GTA5 a huge amount so please take this into account.

Graphics:

I currently had a GTX 780 6GBDDR5, i am currently in to process of looking for another one of these cards to run in SLI. Looking at some benchmarks my card would most likely struggle with 2/3 of those above monitors without being in a SLI setup.

If i fail to find another 780 @GB for a price which actually cheaper than when i originally bought i would probably be looking at the 9XX series for SLI.

Question:

Now i am just wondering whether or not i should be aiming for either a 4k, 144hz or a standard widescreen monitor for the games i play. There isn't a budget here so the price difference between those 3 monitors will not be to much of an issue.

If you guys could point me to specific reviews or perhaps list me reasons why and why not i should be aiming for one of the above 3 that would be most appreciated, Although i am more than happy to do the research myself if you could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!
Ashley

Thanks for the response harry,

Yeah benchmarks for i believe BF4 on SLI 780's were pulling under 60fps or if i remember correctly on a 4k monitor (could be wrong) so yeah wouldn't be smart to grab a 4k until i upgrade my graphics.

Yeah i think i will be going for the swift then. was hoping the weekly deals would knock a few quid off of the swift just in time but it hasn't but thats not a problem.

I will most likely order the swift today! Although just out of curiosity, do you know the hardware req's to run the full refresh rate on the swift etc?

Cheers again mate.
