Hi all

Currently whizzing around on a 2011 kona fire mountain 26" which is probably an 18 frame. Im 6'2 so going to give a 20 ago.

I've whittled it down to two bikes

The Voodoo Bizango and the Vitus Nucleus 275 VR. Both can be had for the same price but wondering if anyone has any preference on either bike.

My initial thoughts are potentially the Bizango as the 29" wheels might give me some more confidence. It's quite flat around here (annoyingly) but we have just had a new MTB park open up which looks amazing.

But then anything is going to be an upgrade from a 26" kona with a frame thats too small for me

You'll need to post links to the exact bikes you're looking at though, as specs and prices change.

If you're quite tall and it's reletivley flat a 29er might make more sense, but i wouldn't buy purely on that, you have to look at the overall spec.

Ah OK, the voodoo is still the better bike.
Suntour Xcr air fork vs suntour Raidon air fork are pretty similar, but the Raidon is one step up the product line, but you never really know with OEM forks, as the Raidon might be an older model and the Xcr the new one (Xcr used to be coil sprung rather than air sprung until the latest models).

The voodoo has deore brakes which are a good thing and sram nx 1x11 gears, which is a really nice gear system.
