Deciding between two monitors

Two very different monitors.

The Dell is 1920x1200, 60Hz and an IPS panel.

The BenQ is 1920x1080, 120Hz and a TN panel.

Out of those two presumably what you actually want out of the monitor will determine your choice.

Its gonna be for gaming primarily and watching movies + coding

My graphics card is a 560ti atm but ill be upgrading later on in the year to something more powerful

Neither.

The Dell suffers from backlight flicker at low brightness, which is what you'll be using when coding.

The Benq is the older model with significant overshoot/reverse ghosting.

Don't have one myself, but going by user reviews they are mostly favourable. It's not overly bright so backlight flicker not an issue at brightness level needed for comfortable use. Question is - IPS 60hz or TN 120hz. It's a tough choice to make.

I would get the Dell 2412 or an IPS monitor over a TN.

It really depends what your more interested in. Better pic with greater viewing angles or 120hz with better motion but a TN screen.

Both are great monitors for different reasons. If only they combined the two.
