Basically I have an LG 20.1" monitor which has served me pretty well, but I'm finding that as the photos/pictures I work with get bigger I want more space!

So decided to burn some money on a new monitor, and currently I'm a bit stuck as to what to go with. As it's photo manipulation I mostly do these days I'd like something that looks good, but then again if I run the monitor in tandem with my current LG the differences across the two should be more than helpful if I chose a higher res over an IPS panel, right?

Anyway, contenders at the moment are:

Dell UltraSharp 2209WA 22"
Dell SP2309W 23"
Samsung SM2433BW 24"

So the options seem to basically be - best colour gamut, highest resolution, largest screen area..

Feels almost like I'm flipping a coin here - but can anyone help just provide some feedback on what they would find most beneficial given these options that I've narrowed it down to? Just to help me mull over the pros and cons before I press the big red credit card button ;)

hello,
wellthe 2209WA is obviously a very good monitor but very annoying as it resolution is quite low, if you dont mind that go for it as it is of superior quality to the others
the dell SP2309 is a very good monitor and should be your main choice its resolution general quality and response time are all very good
the samsung is ok but has a brightness problem which is loud under 100% brightness

I've just been torn between all three myself. Ended up going for the SP2309W as I fancied the highest resolution over the slightly larger screen size. It was the 1680x1050 that totally put me off the 2209, even though it has a more superior screen in terms of quality. I Suppose it comes down to Best Quality/Highest Res/Largest screen. Not that that is much help, as you were torn the same as me lol.
